Where were you when Hidilyn Diaz won the gold? A historic win just when we all needed some good news after a generation defining pandemic and the last SONA by you know who.
Hidilyn previously won a silver in the 2016 Rio Olympics so this exhibit by PCSO will need some updating.
The Philippines won gold in the 1988 Seoul Olympics courtesy of Arianne Cerdeña but bowling was just a demonstration sport so it was not listed in the official medal tally. A great win, nonetheless.
33 years later and 97 years since the country’s first joined the Olympics in Paris, another woman has made us all proud.
