The King’s Speech, Black Swan, The Kids Are Alright etc. Ngunit kung itatanong ko sa inyo kung napanood nyo na ang Untamed Virgins, malamang ay isang malaking HINDI ang isasagot nyo, lalo ka na sosyal girl na nagbabasa nito habang humihigop ng malamig na Starbucks Mochafrap while using the free wi-fi in the uber cool coffee shop. Maybe you will ask, Untamed Virgins? What’s that? Is that a NatGeo documentary? I’m sure that’s bastos, eeww, I’m not gonna watch that!

Bastos? Maybe, bastos is a relative word I personally believe, oops redundant, personally na believe pa. I must say that I was impressed with the trailer.

If you are wondering (I am sure you are) what this film is all about, here’s the synopsis that I got from ClickTheCity,

A tribal woman conspires with her lover to kill her aging husband. Together with her lover and stepdaughters, she travels to her husband’s ancestral land to claim it as her own. But lust and avarice get in the way of her success.

The movie stars Danny Labra, Miguel Vazquez, Nicole Suhana, Pemse Meyer, Ramona Revilla err… Rivilla pala, Roldan Aquino, Zaira Diwa under the direction of  John Ad. Castillo and  Z. Lokman. It is produced by ARTISTIK SCOOP PRODUCTION INC.

Wapaak, palung palo…, love the thumbs up at the end. Anong laban ng Cinema Paradiso, La Strada, The Bicycle Thief , Rashomon atbp. dito, this will be the movie that will end our long wait of getting the most prestigious film award in the world. Hope Roger Ebert gets to see this, it is film making at its finest.

Till my next rant. Relax. See a movie. Stay fresh.🙂
